Britney Spears’ conservatorship ends

Britney Spears is well-loved and well-known as the World’s Pop Princess. However, Britney Spears faces hardships in her life. In 2008 Britney Spears reacted badly to the paparazzi who refused to leave her alone. She smashed a paparazzo’s windshield and acted-out-of-control. After that incident Britney Spears was placed in conservatorship. The conservatorship was headed by Jamie Spears who is Britney Spears’ father.

A conservatorship was placed on Britney Spears by a Los Angeles judge. After her conservatorship was cemented Britney Spears’ father was in control of her life. He was in control of her life, her medical decisions, and her finances.

Britney Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, controlled things like her birth control. He forced Britney Spears to get an IUD which is a birth control method. An IUD is a shot that a woman can get to stop herself from getting pregnant. Britney Spears stated: “I was told that because of my conservatorship that I am not able to get married or to have a baby. I had an IUD shot given to me to stop me from becoming pregnant. I wanted to take the IUD out so that I can start to try to have another baby. However, my so-called team won’t let me go to the doctor to take out the IUD. They refuse to allow me to have more children that I dream of.”

Jamie Spears also sent Britney Spears to a rehabilitation clinic even though she said that she did not have a need to go to the clinic.

Britney Spears was in a battle to end the conservatorship placed on her by the court. She began new court proceedings about her conservatorship in April. This is what Britney Spears said to the court: “The people who did this to me should not get away with what they are doing to me. My dad and the others who are involved in this conservatorship, which includes my management, play a huge role in punishing me whenever I said “No” to any of their demands. Those people should be in jail.”

Britney Spears’ relationship with her family has ended because of the pressures behind the Britney Spears Business–which includes her many CDs, her countless concerts, and her sold merchandise. Jacqueline Butcher is a former-friend of the Britney Spears family who helped Jamie Spears to place Britney Spears in her conservatorship. Jacqueline stated: “I helped a corrupt family seize all this control.”

Finally, Britney Spears’ nightmare ends. Britney’s father petitioned the court to end the conservatorship. This decision seems to come out of left field. It seems like Britney Spears’ life will finally be her own.

I can only hope good things for Britney Spears now and in the future. She is a celebrity, an icon and a star. We should continue to support Britney Spears.
