Tina Turner dies at the age of eighty-three-years-old. She died today in Switzerland.

She faced many illnesses in her lifetime such as cancer, a stroke, and even kidney failure.

“With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model,” says her publicist.

Tina Turner rose to fame in the eighties. She sang hugely popular hits throughout her career like, “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” “River Deep, Mountain High,” and, “Proud Mary.”

This is what was said about Turner’s death on Turner’s Instagram Account: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow. Today we say good-bye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly.”

Tina faced various struggles in her life such as her abusive husband who is named Ike Turner. She divorced from her husband in the year 1978. Ike Turner died in the year 2007.

For years now, Turner lived in Switzerland with her husband since the year 1994. Her husband is a German actor and a music producer. His name is Erwin Bach.
